22/3/2023
After an extremely busy ISE show in Barcelona, KV2 is looking forward to ProLight & Sound in Frankfurt to showcase their latest products. These include including the recently launched slimline ESR106 and its dedicated ESR2600D amplifier based on KV2’s proprietary SLA technology, both of which made their debut at ISE; the powerful ESM312 stage monitor; and the latest addition to the ESD range, the ESD8. KV2 will also be running their traditional live demos, this year featuring their high performance VHD2.0 system, in the outdoor Live Sound Arena.
ESR106 is the latest addition to the ESR Series of all-in-one boxes designed to provide clear, detailed reproduction over a wide area. Typical applications include theatres, houses of worship, cultural/performance centres and concert halls. Like the rest of the range, the new slimline ESR106 is an active-driven 3-way system. It deploys a unique column array of multiple 6-inch woofers for unparalleled high quality vocal and music reproduction in challenging acoustical spaces and ambient environments. The ESR106 has a controlled coverage at low and mid frequencies to reduce indoor reflections and the discreet, low-profile cabinet incorporates multiple fixing points for external brackets and flyware. However, unlike its siblings, ESR106 may only be used vertically.
ESR106 is controlled and driven by its dedicated ESR2600D amplifier, a two channel (stereo) three-way, active control and amplification system housing all signal processing and amplification in a 4RU module, as well as providing control and crossover functions for adding external subwoofer cabinets if required, utilizing external amplifiers. In stereo mode, ESR2600D powers two ESR106s and is configurable via the front panel or remotely using the KV2 Control & Diagnostics Tool.
Launched last year, ESM312 is the biggest and most powerful of KV2’s stage monitoring solutions. A passive 3-way system featuring two bass reflex loaded 12“ neo woofers, a single horn loaded 6“ mid-range woofer and a 1” compression driver, ESM312 can be utilised for all large-scale monitoring applications where quick and easy set-up is required.
Also launched last year, the ESD8 slots neatly into the versatile ESD range between the existing ESD6 and the ESD10. Incorporating an 8" trans-coil woofer and a 1" compression driver coupled to a wide dispersion horn, ESD8 is designed to present exceptional speech and music definition with a natural sound quality and level that is superior to many larger competing products. Ideal as a main system speaker or as an in-fill for larger systems, the flexible ESD8 can be applied quickly and efficiently on podiums, stands or suspended. Applications range from corporate presentations and functions to infill, close monitoring or installation.
Finally, for visitors who venture outside into the Live Sound Arena, there is the chance to hear KV2’s powerful VHD2.0 system. Designed specifically for the concert sound market as well as large scale leisure Installations and outdoor events, VHD systems offer unparalleled power, quality and coverage coupled with huge cost savings over traditional line array solutions in terms of size, weight, transportation, storage and set-up time.
“We’re pleased to be exhibiting at PL&S once more in 2023,” says KV2 CEO, George Krampera Jr. “We’ve supported the show for many years now, and despite its reduced size, it continues to be an excellent show for us. It speaks to the core of our client base, and the opportunity for live, outdoor demos is huge for us. Once people have actually heard the products for themselves, and even had the chance to compare them against other manufacturers as they can in the Live Sound Arena, it makes all the difference. We look forward to seeing you there!”
KV2 Audio can be found on stand #A07, Hall 11 at PLS 2023, Frankfurt Messe, April 25-28.
