KV2 South African Distributor wins Silver Award at Mediatech Africa

Mediatech Africa, a biennial advanced media and entertainment technology trade show, was recently held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The expo attracts over 7000 visitors both locally and internationally as it showcases around 706 international brands as well as new technologies and services from industry leaders in AV system integration and communications; live entertainment technology; television and broadcast; animation and film; studio and production, DJ and pro-audio equipment.

Southern Africa distributor, S.E.T. Africa (Pty) Ltd representing KV2 Audio, was awarded a Silver Award in the Best Exhibition Stands Competition as judged by a panel of Mediatech Africa judges.

“We were quite surprised that our company was given a Silver Award as we did not have the biggest stand at Mediatech!” says Willie van Rensburg, Managing Director. There was a total of 145 exhibiting companies at the expo this year. “We are proud of our team who designed and built the exhibition stand without the use of professional shop fitters.”

The KV2 Audio VHD system was featured at the outdoor live sound demo area with KV2 Technical Director, Andy Austin-Brown at the helm joining the S.E.T. Africa team from the United Kingdom at the live sound demos. As KV2 was the only sound system using Large Format Point Source technology amongst many Line Array sound systems, it was pretty clear that Point Source offers unparalleled clarity, power, and coverage. “There has been strong interest this year with a good number of visitors telling us that they remember listening to the KV2 demo at Mediatech 2 years ago.” says Willie “We are all very proud to represent KV2 Audio not only at Mediatech but in Southern Africa too.”
